Plugins for HotFrets Guitar Lessons

You should download and view the LESSON GUIDE. In order to view the guide you'll need the Acrobat Reader from Adobe Software. If you don't have Acrobat Reader follow the link at the bottom of the page to download and install this free player.

The HotFrets Learning System for the guitar is very easy to use! This page is provided to help you get all the necessary, FREE software installed on your computer. To assure that the lessons will function properly you'll need the following:

	Flash Player	Please be sure you have the most recent version of the Flash Player installed on your computer. If not, the lessons may not run correctly. Clicking the link to the left will open a window that allows you to install the most recent version automatically.
	Scorch Player	The Scorch2 Player is one of the coolest Notation/TAB players to come along! In the Windows environment, you can even control the tempo. This plugin is used to open the midi/Notation/TAB file for every lesson.
	Internet Explorer	You'll need a fairly recent browser version to take advantage of the pages on this site. Older browsers don't support some of the scripting used so if some of the pages on the site don't seem to be working properly download a more recent version from here. The links to the left will open a window that allows you to download and install one of the 2 most popular browsers. PLEASE NOTE: It's not always a good idea to get the most recent version of a browser. You should always get the version that is recomended as the most stable!
	Mozilla FireFox
	America Online	If you are currently an AOL customer you can link to their download page to get the most recent version of the AOL browser.
	Acrobat Reader	The Adobe Acrobat pdf file goes into great detail about how to get the most out of the lessons on the site. You'll need Acrobat Reader to view the Lesson Guide. To download and install it, click the link to the left.
	QuickTime Player	The QuickTime video player is a must. Almost all of the video examples on the site require the free player. Click the link to go to the Apple QuickTime download page. Pay close attention to all the selections if you don't want to get barraged with newlsetters and such.
